Thousand thanks to my friend Dinjee, got me a chance to practice on video shooting, it was her boyfriend’s sister’s wedding day. Very grateful to the lovely couple, Kaylyn and Ming, for trusting my skill, :D

This is my second attempts to make a wedding day video, shot on 7d, mostly shot on canon usm efs15-85mm f3.5/5.6, used canon ef usm 50mm f1.4 on a few shots. Also I get to really hand on controlling the u-flycam which was being put in fridge for more than half year. It was really a tiring day holding the steadicam and cameras, my right arm almost went numb.

Along with Chinese who moved to Malaysia, they brought their culture in as well, some survived, some were cut loose, and some are struggling. Chinese Opera, one of the dying culture in Malaysia, most of the chinese opera stage performance we get to see locally, are mostly performance teams origin from Thailand and China, there might be only a few local teams left.

With the fast pace of globalization, and moving into the world of information technology, how cultural heritages stand against the race, and the fading of its color? I think the answer is simple, “support”. As long as there is support, and appreciation, it stays.

I’m the lucky one, there’re two chinese taoism temples around my area, I get to see all sort of religious events throughout the year, so as from my religious grandma who always busy preparing for prayers and religious celebration. As a free thinker, I am only being influenced by its cultural beauty instead of religiously. Hope to capture more of them before they disappeared.

Very grateful to Soon Kang and Leng Eng, for believing in me to shoot some prewedding photos for them, it’s a great chance to experience and explore prewedding shooting. Two forum friends from myphotocity.com, Mini and CK also joined the shooting. We had a great time shooting in Malacca, which is the groom’s hometown, most of the photos were taken around Jonker Walk.
